The Agogo Presbyterian Hospital has a mission to provide quality and affordable health care to its clients and the clinical team is fully alive to its responsibilities in this direction.
The clinical team of the hospital is currently made up of 4 specialists, 2 Senior Medical Officers, 1 Medical Officer, 4 Senior House Officers, 3 Residents, 2 Pharmacists and 2 Medical Assistants. The 4 Specialists include a surgeon, a Gynaecologist, a Paediatrician and an Ophthalmologist.
The clinical team is a group of motivated and hard working professionals committed to the delivery of quality services to our clients, especially the poor and deprived rural folk who form the majority. No wonder the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital has achieved fame all over Ghana and in parts of the West African sub region.
Research is also high on the agenda of the hospital with Malaria and Buruli Ulcer Disease being our main interests. The hospital has very good collaboration with the Kumasi centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) and there are many ongoing research projects in the hospital.
The Agogo Presbyterian Hospital is a popular destination for medical students from all parts of the World especially Germany, Holland and Scandinavia. These students gain valuable experience in tropical medicine and research during their electives in the hospital.
In conclusion the Agogo Presbyterian Hospital has a vision to attain even greater heights in health care delivers. Collaboration with institutions and NGOs from all over the World is therefore very welcome.
